Send your heart
Printed Media
As technology has advanced, people have become more accustomed to
texting each other. My work has been also done by using a computer,
which is adobe illustrator and photosho. However, added my touch to it
by drawing a tiger. How about writing a handwritten letter to a person
you miss? Sometimes some analog sensibility is must needed in a
relationship.

Poetics of Interruption
Website
With every story told comes with stories untold. What if a narrative
is constantly interrupted in prevention of suturing the audience into
a linear mode of thinking? Generating texts from first person
narratives by the fiction character Genly Ai in Ursula K. Le Guin’s
The Left Hand of Darkness, the reading site attempts to break into the
‘variances’ of how a story can be comprehended.

Everytime We Deal With Enemy, We Create Two More
Video
I am a person who is very enthusiastic toward video games, where I
have been inspired by it to create this work. In those worlds, when
you deal with an enemy, two or more gets to you to grab a chance to
win, where you have to be very calculative to win the game. This
kinetic typography is a portal to my experience of those games.

This is an urban systems design project proposing an interconnected
system of multilevel stability, which would be implemented into
coastal cities in our near future. Using a public parking garage as a
case study of the greater changes that would occur in this proposal,
we outline the ways our phased approach would benefit natural
ecologies, human social systems, and basic infrastructure in the city.
Our works were inspired in large part by the way energy transfers in
nature, such as with phenotypic plasticity in ant colonies or
altruistic alarm calling among deer and monkeys.

The Isolation Helm
3D Printed Installation, Printed Media
This helmet is an analysis of social isolation, a growing phenomenon
within dense urban settings, and the way our usage of modern
technology has exacerbated its rise. Crucially, it is not the
technology that is inherently the problem; it is the context and
manner of our usage.

One Warm Day
Printed Media, Video
One Warm Day is a poster for a theoretical concert featuring music
artists Fleet Foxes, Fleetwood Mac, Amigo the Devil, and Orville Peck.
These artists are united by their folk and country influences, so the
accompanying animation was made by projecting a slow-moving
composition onto moving water, and recording the resulting reflection.
This allowed for really organic movement, creating a soft place for
viewers to land and reinforcing the idea of one warm day (from Fleet
Foxes‘ song Featherweight.)

Edible Poster
Printed Media
The Poster mimics blotter acid (LSD) but instead of dwelling on the
psychedelic implications of such an object, this edible poster aims to
question the ways in which we conform to the collective ritual of
consuming information - figuratively and literally in this case. I'll
make a specific portal-theme design for this edible blotter poster,
which can urge us to think of where we want to go on the ‘trip’
through this portal - to which preferred future? What does it look
like? What is RISD like in that future?

Website, Printed Media, Quilted Paper Installation
Community in Bloom is a workshop organized and hosted by Stephanie Wu
and Nina Jun Yuchi in response and critique to the design industry and
its relationship with politics. Design is not an isolated process but
it’s often viewed as such. Acknowledging the labor and love that is
required from all of our peers, we hope to impart the participants
with a more holistic view of what design and community can be. This
workshop invites young emerging/student designers but is open to all
cultural workers.

Uppercase and lowercase letters have different volumes in typography.
In this alphabet, Mixer aims to get rid of the hierarchy of uppercase
and lowercase letters, setting them at the same volume. It respects
the structural differences and inequalities while pursuing an
inner-connected complex assemblage. The new closed relationship, the
intertwined structure that comes with this middle case here is a
visual manifesto of our posthuman future.
